Are REALTORS® essential to the health of the economy? Yes, they are! SDAR is working on your behalf to urge Governor Newsom to reclassify the day-to-day operations of the real estate industry as "essential businesses" so that activities concerned with the buying, selling and leasing of properties may continue to operate during the "stay-at-home" order. Residents need to continue to secure shelter and homeownership, and they depend on many businesses related to these transactions. Certainly, we are pleased that our members are taking precautions to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, and we want to help you navigate these uncertain times. A letter to 21 state and local officials was sent last night requesting their help as we advocate for you and our industry.  Stay tuned for more information on this!

We are gathering a group of market leaders tomorrow for an exclusive COVID-19 briefing with elected officials and real estate leaders to come together and understand the current state of the real estate industry in California. This meeting will provide a platform for our members to share their insights and recommendations with elected officials who are helping to support our business through the current market conditions. We will provide a summary update here, so watch for more details coming soon.
